Season 4 of True Blood returns tonight on HBO and I think fans will be pleased.  Episode 4.02 is even better than tonight's premiere, in my opinion, so make sure to tune in next week as well.
In tonight's True Blood premiere Sookie finds herself in the faerie realm.  If you watched the first eight minutes of the episode (view it below), you'll see that Sookie encounters her grandfather.  But everything in the faerie realm is not what it appears to be and Sookie gets an unexpected dose of reality that shatters that beautiful world.
Back in Bon Temps, meanwhile, Eric and Bill are working hard to win back the goodwill of the human population.  But how will Sookie respond to both of them when she returns to town?  Will either or both of them be able to win back her trust or is Sookie done with vampires for the time being?
Hoyt and Jessica learn that playing house is not all it's cracked up to be.  With one of them a vampire and the other a human, can they really make their relationship work?  Sam tries to bond with his brother after the events of the season 3 finale but finds it difficult.
Jesus encourages Lafayette to explore his witch powers and join a coven, which introduces us to a new character named Marnie (played by Fiona Shaw), who will prove to have her own agenda tonight and in next week's episode in particular.  But Lafayette isn't that keen to explore his new abilities and initially doesn't think much of the coven's supposed powers.
And what of Arlene and her strange baby?  She's getting very suspicious about the fruit of her loins, even while Terry tries to alleviate her fears.
