Actress Mena Suvari has filed for divorce from her husband, cinematographer Robert Brinkman.


US actor Mena Suvari has filed for divorce from cinematographer Robert Brinkmann, her husband of five years.
The report by Us Weekly magazine was confirmed today by Suvari's publicist, Melissa Kates.
The statement said Suvari is claiming irreconcilable differences as the basis for her divorce petition, filed yesterday.
Us Weekly said the court papers were filed in Los Angeles.
Brinkmann, 43, and Suvari, 26, eloped in March 2000 just after the actor had turned 21.
The couple met while working on the cheerleading comedy Sugar & Spice.
They recently collaborated on the upcoming Standing Still, a film directed by Matthew Weiss.
Suvari's screen credits also include American Beauty, two American Pie films and Beauty Shop.

Mena Suvari must have been hoping it would be second time lucky as she married her boyfriend of three years in Italy yesterday.
Mena, 31, was married to the 18-years-older cinematographer Robert Brinkmann from 2000 to 2006.
This time around she has chosen someone closer to her in age, in 25-year old concert producer Simone Sestito.

Mena went to great lengths to keep her new husbands family happy.
She revealed to OK! magazine in an interview last year how she planned to have her wedding dress customised to cover her tattoos.

Most newlyweds spend their honeymoon getting to know one another.
But former Beverly Hills 90210 star Ian Ziering and his bride Erin have taken an action-packed break.
The pair went kayaking in Newport Beach yesterday, exploring the coastline under bright sunshine.
Ziering and Erin share an obvious love of sports.
But the pair's love for one another was also obvious as they hugged and kissed as they got back to shore, before posing for a photo for their holiday album.
Newport beach was also the scene for the couple's fairytale ceremony on Friday.

Later she changed her costume, emerging on the beach in a brown swimsuit with gold detailing.

Fox has found herself with a little extra time on her hands following the news she will not be starring in Transformers 3.
Her exit from the film follows a public spat between her and director Michael Bay last year, in which she reportedly said he was 'a nightmare' to work for.
The star, who played Mikaela Banes in the 2007 billion dollar blockbuster and sequel, insisted earlier this month that it was her decision not to resume the role.

Megan Fox and her fiancé Brian Austin Green have married in a small intimate ceremony in Hawaii according to reports in the U.S.
The couple, who met on the set of Hope And Faith back in 2004, married last week at the Four Seasons Hotel on the Big Island.
According to American website TMZ the wedding was attended by only a half dozen people.
It's the first marriage for both, although Green has an eight-year-old son, Kassius, with actress Vanessa Marcil.
Fox was just 18 when she met the ex-90210 actor, who was 30 at the time, and the pair have been on and off ever since.
They first got engaged in 2007 before Fox broke it off in February 2009.
Reports surfaced two weeks ago that Fox, 24 and Greeen, 36 had gottten engaged again.
US Weekly reported that Green proposed at The Four Seasons (where they subsequently wed) but Megan lost the ring in the sand.
'I saw her jumping up and down,' a source said. 'Later I saw a half dozen staff sifting through the sand.'
But the search was reportedly unsuccessful.
'Security and maintanence staff spent a couple of hours looking for it,' another source said. 'No one found it.'
Fox denied the story though, saying: 'We've been engaged for four years, so I don't know why the story is breaking now like it's new.
'But I'm happy to still be engaged and still be with him.'

Fox recently opened up about her marriage plans: 'I've been in this relationship so long and I love [Brian] so much,' she said. 'And of course [marrriage is] in the future somewhere.

Stripping down to his swimming trunks, the chef wisely decided not to disrobe any further as he strolled through a nudist beach in St Tropez yesterday.
The couple, who have been married for 14 years, had been enjoying a day on the beach surrounded by a mix of dressed and naked sunworshippers.
As the couple strolled along the surf, the 43-year-old found his head turned by an elderly nudist, who looked completely at home in the buff.
While Ramsay was happy to work on his tan, his modest wife Tana was a bit more covered up in a blue bandeau dress.

The chef's holiday came as it was revealed his West London gastropub The Devonshire was closing.
Ramsay decided to shut the pub after hit parent company recorded a £4.3million loss last year, which has been blamed on the recession.
A spokesman said: 'The Devonshire pub has not been meeting our expectations for a while and we have taken the decision to close it while we consider future plans.'
Meanwhile, Ramsay has been making the latest series of his U.S. show a family affair with both his wife and mother appearing.
Tana and his mum Helen judged contestants' food on an episode screened two weeks ago.
It was the second time Gordon's wife Tana has appeared on the programme.

Earlier this month, Tana had worn a dark wig and glasses to disguise herself from other contestants as she pretended to be a terrible cook on the show.
The other competitors were left in shock when Ramsay, 43, first embraced the dowdy housewife and then moved in for a passionate kiss.
However, he soon admitted that the shock kiss was in fact a ruse and the dark-haired lady was in fact his wife Tana in disguise.

The 23-year old Gossip Girl actress is enjoying the sun and the company of a new male co-star as she films scenes for her new movie, Monte Carlo, on a beach in the South of France.

The swimsuit clad star was spotted laughing and joking around with Luke Bracey, 21, who plays her on screen love interest in the film.

The pair couldn't hide their chemistry as they shot an intimate moment for the film, subsequently breaking into laughter in between takes.
They then sat and chatted during breaks in filming.
Bracey is an Australian born actor who stared in the hit soap Home and Away.

The pair were spotted on a lunch date before spending 90 minutes together at Miss Hammond's flat in East London.
They met in February 2008 when the multi-millionaire guitarist visited the Ministry of Burlesque, a club in the capital.

Miss Hammond, who also works as a piano teacher, posted details of their encounter on the club's website saying: 'Not only was Ronnie a true gent, he also came up with his own burlesque name - Mr Wiggle.'
Miss Hammond, who claims she is currently single, has performed at a number of burlesque clubs in London as well as the Cannes Film Festival.
