: Minnesota Timberwolves today acquired 6-7 guard or forward Martell Webster of the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for forward Ryan Gomes, and the draft rights of Luke Babbitt, 16 overall pick in the draft tonight.

Just 23 years old, and 5-year veteran in the league, Webster owns career averages 8.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 301 games (starts 164) for the Blazers. The sixth overall pick in 2005 NBA Draft the Seattle Preparatory School in Seattle, Washington, Webster jumped to appear in all 82 games last season and after mid 9,4 points and 3,3 rebounds per game after suffering a stress fracture in his left foot on premiere in 2008, forcing him to miss all but 5 minutes of the 2008-09 season. Career 37.2 percent shooter from behind the arc, Webster, connected to 120 + 3-pointers in each of his last two full NBA seasons.
Gomez has played three seasons in Minnesota, averaging 12.3 points and 5,1 rebounds in 240 games. Fifties overall pick Boston Celtics in 2005 NBA Draft, Minnesota acquired Gomez in 2007 trade that sent Kevin Garnett to Boston.
