Thanks to everybody who e-mailed or Tweeted me to let me know that I was quoted in the LA Times regarding the new peanut allergy therapy study.

While hopeful for a cure for peanut allergies, I remain cautious about whether or not it will work for everyone and how viable this therapy is in the long term. We have a long way to go until we know if this will do the trick for the more severely allergic among us.

I thought the author of the article, LA Times Health reporter Melissa Healy, did a good, thorough, well-balanced job of presenting the information and it was heartening to read that prominent allergist Dr. Scott Sicherer shares some of my same concerns.
