'Scary Spice' Mel B is pregnant; first child with hubby Stephen Belafonte
0 comments Posted by org at 3:10 AMIt'll be Scary Spice's first child with music producer husband Stephen Belafonte, whom she married in Las Vegas in 2007.
"We're really thrilled," the singer told the U.K. mag Hello! "We wouldn't have planned and waited for four years to have a baby if we weren't excited and ready for it."
Belafonte, 35, reportedly cracked open a bottle of bubbly when his wife broke the news, saying, "Baby, enjoy this glass because you can't drink anymore!"
She is due sometime this summer, as is Baby Spice Emma Bunton. Posh Spice Victoria Beckham and husband David Beckham are also pushing the pregnancy pram with their fourth child, a baby girl.
Brown, 35, who competed on "Dancing With the Stars," is adding to her and Belafonte's large clan. She already has two daughters -- Phoenix, 12, and Angel Iris, 3 -- from previous relationships, while Belafonte has one daughter -- Giselle, 7 -- from a previous relationship as well.
And because Belafonte is the seventh child in a family whose babies all weighed 9 pounds at birth, Brown is asking for the epidural in the delivery room.
"It's a nice idea to do it at home or in a water birthing thing, but the reality is I've had two babies. With Phoenix, the epidural wore off, so I experienced pain, and not by choice," she said. "Second time, I experienced having the pain dulled. I was laughing the whole time when I delivered Angel. So having experienced both, I am opting for no pain and as little discomfort as possible."

The couple looked like a matchy-matchy made in heaven as they left exclusive Los Angeles restaurant Mr Chow after sharing a Chinese meal together.
And their taste in shades seemed somewhat Scary, with Mel opting for a figure-hugging purple and black shift dress, with her husband wearing a matching purple shirt and even accessorised with a little lilac and black shopping bag.

Former Spice Girl Mel B and husband Stephen Belafonte have never been shy about displaying their love for each other.But even die-hard romantics might have been left queasy by their performance last night as they pawed at each other in a hotel bar.Fuelled by a glass or two of champagne, they indulged in a number of very passionate public clinches.
The pair were seen kissing in the middle of the May Fair hotel in London last night – with Mr Belafonte at one point cheekily grabbing his wife’s bottom.
They were socialising with friends – who could be forgiven for feeling awkward as the couple openly enjoyed each other’s company.However, Mel B, 34, looked as though she may have been enjoying herself a little too much – and could be feeling worse for wear.
The former Scary Spice was seen heckling and shouting as she spent a few hours quaffing bubbly.Embarrassingly, she was also seen attempting to seductively devour a strawberry while standing at the hotel bar.
Mel B was obviously in an affectionate mood - also grabbing musician Mark Ronson for a hug when she bumped into him on the way to the bar.
Melanie Brown had a fine old time in sunny Miami. She enjoyed bikini time with husband Stephen Belafonte during the day, even staying in her two-piece and see-through cover up for dinner at Quattro, and then she hit the courts to take part in a mixed doubles exhibition at the Sony Ericsson Open in Key Biscayne. She teamed up with Novak Djokovic to play a Glam. Set. Match game against Ana Ivanovic and Jay Sean. Though her tennis skills weren't quite up to scratch and her team lost, she still smiled wide as she signed autographs.
