Face Transplant Is a Success -- Daily Intel :Charla Nash, who trimmed Connecticut woman who was brutally attacked by a chimpanzee named Travis in 2009 ill become their senses slowly, after a face transplant, the twenty hours required surgery. During the same procedure, her body rejected a transplant to her two hands, to replace the lost in the attack, but one nonetheless grateful Nash called misstep just a "bump" in their rehabilitation. "These professionals first saved my life, healed my wounds and gave me strength to make an uncertain future," Nash said in a statement. "I'll be able to smell. I'll be able to eat normally. I'm not disfigured."
