Per the Wall Street Journal:

WASHINGTON—A "real solution" to U.S. fiscal problems isn't possible as long as President Barack Obama remains in office, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday, heightening the rhetoric surrounding the debt-ceiling debate.

McConnell's assessment is correct.  Obama is a rigid, ideological leftist who puts his dogma before anything else.   The GOP strategy should be one of containment:  preventing further fiscal disasters by the Master of Disaster until we can vote him out in 2012.
