Ricki Lake has found love again with a new boyfriend and insists she is "happier" than she has "ever been".
The 42-year-old former talk show host divorced artist Rob Sussman, the father of her two sons, in 2003 after 10 years of marriage.
She has been dating since the split, but has now embarked on a serious relationship with a man called Christian.
Lake reveals they have been a couple since last summer (10) and are now living together, telling People.com, "I'm totally in love. We're having so much fun. I'm happier than I've ever been. He's a normal guy. We met through my best friend. His name is Christian. He's a nobody but he's somebody to me. He's everything to me... I'm so cynical after my experience. But this is just so natural and easy. I'm with a man who doesn't feel threatened. He doesn't want to keep me down."
Lake also reveals she has put her weight issues aside since falling in love, adding, "I went on a love binge. I haven't been going to the gym as much. I'm a bit fluffier than usual."
Ricki Lake has ruled out having children with her new partner, insisting she is "happy to enjoy the next phase" of her life.
Lake admits the couple has discussed the possibility of another kid - Evans also has a child from a previous relationship - but they've decided against expanding their brood.
She tells iVillage.com, "I thought about it. When you fall in love it's something you talk about. The idea of having a lovechild with him is amazing, and I loved being pregnant and giving birth, but raising children is so hard, and it gets harder and harder as you go along.
"Teenagers are so tough - and I have a good one! (Christian) has a child as well. So we're okay; we have our brood and we're really happy to enjoy this next phase of our lives."
Ricki Pamela Lake (born September 21, 1968) is an American actress and television host.
Lake met artist/illustrator Rob Sussman at a Halloween party in 1993. The couple married shortly after in Las Vegas. Their two sons are Milo Sebastian Sussman (March 22, 1997) and Owen Tyler Sussman (June 18, 2001). The couple divorced in 2003 after 10 years of marriage.

Ricki Lake has a hot new boyfriend – they're living together! – and it's keeping her from working out.
"I'm totally in love," says Lake, 42. "We're having so much fun. I'm happier than I've ever been."
But, she says, it's so great that she hasn't been maintaining her weight. "I went on a love binge," she says. "I haven't been going to the gym as much. I'm a bit fluffier than usual."
Lake, the mom of two boys, Milo, 14 and Owen, 9, has been dating her guy since last summer. "He's a normal guy," she says. "We met through my best friend. His name is Christian. He's a nobody but he's somebody to me. He's everything to me."
While in New York to host a benefit for Choices in Childbirth, Lake spoke about her upcoming documentary, More Business of Being Born, which will premiere this fall. It's a follow up to her 2007 film The Business of Being Born, and this time she'll focus on celebrity moms, such as Cindy Crawford, Alanis Morissette and Gisele Bündchen, who share their stories about giving birth.
She's also excited about her new talk show, which will launch in fall 2012. "It's the right time to do a show that's more me than the old show," she says. "I've been through a marriage and a divorce and losing all my money and I've been very candid about it. We are going full speed ahead."
But she's in no rush to get married again – yet.
"Never say never," says Lake, who divorced husband Rob Sussman in 2005. "I'm so cynical after my experience. But this is just so natural and easy. I'm with a man who doesn't feel threatened. He doesn't want to keep me down."
"And I've never been treated like this in my life," she says. "My little men love him. My little one said the other day 'Are you gonna marry him? I want you to marry him but it'll be weird going to my parents' wedding.' "

But the ever-positive Ricki Lake is not one to dwell on her troubles, and has come bouncing back, not just with a new documentary this autumn – but also with a new man.
The former chat show host has revealed that she has been dating a man called Christian Evans for almost a year.

They recently moved in together and Ricki, 42, said she has never been happier.
Speaking to People, she said: ‘I’m totally in love. We’re having so much fun. I’m happier than I’ve ever been.’
Lake, who is mother to Milo, 14, and nine-year-old Owen, added: ‘He’s a normal guy. We met through my best friend. His name is Christian. He’s a nobody but he’s somebody to me. He’s everything to me.’
And she said being in love has made her worry about her weight so much.

Lake met her new beau, Christian, through her best friend and the two have been dating since summer of 2010, People magazine reported.
"I'm totally in love," Lake told the magazine. "We're having so much fun. I'm happier than I've ever been. He's a nobody but he's somebody to me. He's everything to me."
Lake says that while her boys "love" Christian, she has no immediate plans to marry him. However, she is open to the idea.

In September 2010, Lake made headlines when a fire destroyed her rented beachfront Malibu home. She and her sons, as well as their dog, escaped unharmed.
Lake returns to television full time in the fall of 2012 with a new daytime talk show and recently posted photos from a shoot she filmed for it (see photo above). While her former program showcased guests dealing with love, sex, cheating and other issues, Lake's new series is based on her personal experiences.
