Los Angeles Times Poll (Showing Brown Blow-Out) Oversampled Latinos
0 comments Posted by org at 9:13 AMAh, the games you can play with polls. The leftist Los Angeles Times released a poll yesterday showing Jerry Brown with a double-digit lead over Meg Whitman in the race for governor of California. Other polls, however, released at the same time, show the race much closer than that. Oversampling of Democrats or Republicans can give a biased poll result, one that does not represent the actual state of the electorate. The LA Times poll oversampled latinos and obtained the desired skewed result, no doubt to encourage a larger Democrat turnout on November 2nd.
Donald Douglas has the story here.
